About Hurlstone Joinery
Hurlstone Joinery is an independent Dorset joinery workshop run by Ollie Hurlstone.
Ollie has been making things from wood since he was fifteen years old. Before completing his apprenticeship with a local joinery firm, he already had a workshop at home and spent much of his spare time building and repairing things. When he was made redundant at twenty, he set up on his own and has worked for himself ever since.
Today, every project is still designed, made and finished by Ollie himself. There are no middlemen, sales teams or subcontractors involved.
Known for taking his time and doing things properly, Ollie believes in traditional craftsmanship, quality materials and attention to detail. Every job is approached with the same care he would expect in his own home.
Outside the workshop, you’ll usually find him with his family and dog, or down at a steam rally.
